I’m a Naturopath, Herbalist, Homoeopath, Iridologist and Masseur. I have been practicing in Bunyip for more than 25 years, and have a clinic there and in Pakenham.
What is a Naturopath and what do they do?
A Naturopath’s aim is to help people of all ages obtain and maintain good health. This is done by the use of nutritional support, herbal medicine, lifestyle changes, dietary advice, flower essences and quite a few other modalities, which I will address in future issues.
What is a consultation with a Naturopath like?
This varies between naturopaths, but I will give an example of the way I conduct a consultation.
Firstly, I will take some personal details and ask about the presenting problem, as well as your health history, especially relating to your health issues.
Then I will ask for any pathology results that may have been done to assist further with my diagnosis, and a list of the medication you are currently taking. I may then choose to do an Iridology analysis (characteristics of the iris; something I will cover in future issues).
Finally, I will make some suggestions about dealing with the presenting problem to help improve your health and with you, develop the best solution for your recovery.
I look forward to writing these articles, where I will be discussing many health issues such as skin problems, asthma, common colds and infections, diabetes, arthritis, children’s health issues, anxiety and depression, and aged care health.
